µPD64032
Ghost Reducer for NTSC in Japan
Overview
The µPD64032 is a ghost reducer LSI supporting the GCR mode of Japan. It equalizes the waveform of the video signal including the Japanese GCR signal and reduces ghost.
This LSI integrates all functions necessary for a ghost reducer system (such as an A/D converter, a D/A converter, a microcontroller, a clock generator, and SRAM) on a single chip.
Features
- All in 1 Chip ghost reducer (was 7 chips.)
- Integrates 1 ch 10-bit ADC & 1 ch 10-bit DAC.
- Integrates burst locked clock generator.
- Integrates MCU (equiv to NEC Electronics's 78K/IV) & F/W memory.
- Improvements from previous generation.
- Enhanced CPU F/W
Faster operation :
GR start time 1.2 s MAX.
Wider front ghost ranging -2.6 µs to +40 µs
- Programmable coring level control for filter coefficient
- Programmable frequency characteristic of equalizing filter
- Programmable first integration number & convergence integration number of GCR
- Direct digital I/F to NEC Electronics's Y/C separator
(µPD64083/64084/64011B/64012)
- I2C bus control
- 0.25 µm CMOS process
- VDD : Internal 1.5 V, I/O 3.3 V
