Serial ATA is an interconnect technology for use with hard disk drives, redundant array of independent disk (RAID) systems and storage network applications. Features include:
- Compliant with 1.5 Gbps Serial ATA specification
- Serial data transfer on up to eight channels simultaneously
- Easy leveraging to serial attached SCSI (SAS) device
